Job Summary:
The Utility Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing utility projects within the organization. This role involves coordinating and leading all aspects of utility projects, ensuring their successful completion within the designated timeline and budget. The Utility Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver projects that meet the organization's objectives and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute project plans, defining project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budget.
2. Manage all aspects of utility projects, including resource allocation, task delegation, and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure project progress and alignment with organizational objectives.
4. Conduct regular status meetings, providing project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
5. Monitor project milestones, identifying potential risks and proactively implementing corrective actions to ensure project success.
6. Track project expenses, review and approve invoices, and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
7. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring a cohesive and productive work environment.
8. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
9. Evaluate project performance and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices for future projects.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in utility management, ensuring project compliance and incorporating relevant innovations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) as a Project Manager, preferably in the energy and utilities industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of utility management processes, regulations, and best practices.
4. Strong leadership abilities with the capability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Proficient in project management tools and software.
8. Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to effectively resolve project-related challenges.
